Our Structural Engineers conducted a PV panel assessment on an existing timber roof, originally constructed in the late 1890s, which now serves as a Primary School. The design included structural analysis of the primary timber A-frames, secondary timber rafters, and purlins.

Using advanced design software, we assessed the additional forces that the A-frame would experience due to the weight of the new PV panels. This enabled us to confirm to our client that the existing roof structure was sufficient to support the installation.
