Hensol Castle, Vale of Glamorgan

The 15th century grade 1 listed castle is being transformed into a luxury spa.

A 50m square reinforced concrete basement and steel super structure is presently being built behind the rear courtyard and will provide unrivaled state of the art luxury health and beauty facilities.

An additional restaurant with basement is being constructed within the outer courtyard whilst remaining almost completely independent of the existing castle.

The only means of access between the new and the old is via an underground culvert link and a new basement formed beneath the original, achieved by underpinning methods.
